We want you to enjoy your day whale watching . The best way is to be fully prepared for your day on the ocean.

Our whale trips do go out into the Pacific Ocean and each day is different, swell may vary from slight to moderate. Most of the time you will hardly notice it, that's because we have the largest whale watching boat on the east coast. However, it is recommended to take a seasickness remidy that works for you, just in case.

In the case that the weather is not suitable to take you out, we will cancel that trip and you have the choice to rebook on a latter trip or a full refund. Weather conditions change quickly at sea, so you can check this page just before leaving for the cruise to be sure.

* Please note we make every effort to keep these conditions up to date, but cannot guarantee them. Visit some of our  Links for more up to date information.

** Wave height is significant wave height, not Maximum wave height, this is a measure of the average of waves

Some points to consider with the weather and sea conditions:

- Offshore Wind, from the NNW (or 330deg) to SW (or 210deg) will tend to reduce seas and even if wind speed is well above average will not adversely affect most cruises

- Wave Height, overall height is a reasonable measure of comfort, but wave period is just as critical, a 3m sea with 15 second period is far better than 1m at 2 seconds

- Cloud cover, while it is always nice to have sunny skies, except for very heavy ongoing rain, cloud or rain does not greatly affect the whales
